Victor Leveris – Team Lead, ECM

Victor’s work revolves around implementing ECM solutions, developing workflows, managing projects, and leading a team of ECM consultants. He also engages in sales and marketing activities to promote ECM to potential clients.
When asked what inspired him to pursue this career, Victor explained that he’s always had an interest in computers, programming, and systems. “I’ve worked with a variety of ERP systems, and I liked Epicor the most,” he shared.
Working in ECM means that no two days are exactly alike. Victor’s day usually involves:
Communicating with customers
Developing workflows
Managing multiple projects simultaneously
Epicor ECM
Epicor IDC
Various VPNs
OneNote
ConnectWise
Victor works from home, equipped with a laptop and two additional monitors, positioned by a window for natural sunlight. To stay organized, he uses OneNote for projects, ConnectWise for tracking time, and Outlook for scheduling.
Victor works closely with a variety of colleagues, including:

Communication is primarily through Microsoft Teams, supplemented by emails. For Victor, successful collaboration happens when the customer is happy with the outcome and the team has learned something valuable during the process.
Like any specialized role, working in ECM comes with its challenges. Victor explained:
“We rely heavily on the customer being actively involved in the implementation and must adapt to their timelines.”
The most rewarding part?
Seeing a customer recognize the impact of ECM solutions on their productivity and workflow.
Victor enjoys unwinding differently depending on the season:
Summer: Relaxing on his balcony with his dog while reading or listening to music/podcasts
Winter: Watching movies and football games
He also has hobbies that include cooking and scuba diving, which give him a creative outlet beyond the office.
For those considering a career in ECM, Victor has this advice:
“The right candidate has a strong business background—ideally with experience in operations or finance—and a technical interest. Learn as much as you can about the business process because our work isn’t just development; it’s also understanding why we do things a certain way and offering recommendations.”
He also noted a common misconception about his role:
“When things look easy, people often don’t realize the effort that went into making them appear effortless.”
