Scott Williamson – Senior Consultant

Scott has always been drawn to technology, often taking the initiative to learn new programs and then sharing that knowledge with others. Early on, he discovered his passion for technical software through CAD design, enjoying the process of drawing, designing, and building complex projects.
His work with ERP systems deepened that interest, showing him how software can improve business operations. Leading the implementation of Epicor 10 at a manufacturing company solidified his path, inspiring him to focus on Epicor ECM implementations. Today, Scott specializes in:
Implementing and configuring Epicor ECM
Developing ECM workflows
Installing and supporting the ECM platform
Delivering training sessions
Writing technical documentation
Mentoring other consultants
Scott starts his mornings by reviewing his calendar, checking emails, and responding to customer requests. From there, his day is a mix of workflow development, software testing (IDC and ECM), and customer support.
He relies on a robust toolkit to get things done:
Epicor ECM & IDC
Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, OneNote)
ConnectWise
NotePad++
Various VPNs
Working from home, Scott has a dedicated loft workspace with a laptop, two monitors, and a west-facing window that brings in plenty of natural light. To stay organized, he uses OneNote, Microsoft Loop, Excel, ConnectWise, and Outlook to manage his projects, meetings, and personal schedule.
Collaboration is central to Scott’s role. He works closely with:
Becky, on the PM side
Victor, Teccweb’s Team Lead
Becky and Sheila, his fellow ECM consultants
Most of their communication happens through Microsoft Teams chats and calls, with emails as needed. For Scott, successful collaboration means delivering implementations where customers truly understand the technology, feel comfortable using it, and see real benefits like time savings and smoother processes.
One of the most challenging parts of Scott’s job is communicating with people who have varying levels of technical expertise—and training individuals who may not be excited about new software. But it’s also where he finds the greatest rewards.
He loves seeing customers experience meaningful improvements, and he enjoys helping people who are eager to learn and grow. That combination of problem-solving and personal development makes the role deeply fulfilling.
When the workday wraps up, Scott’s focus shifts to family. He enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, whether that’s watching them play sports and music, catching a Blue Jays game, or just playing catch together.
He also has a creative side: playing drums, cooking new recipes, baking cakes, listening to music and audiobooks.
Scott encourages anyone considering this type of role to approach it with curiosity and persistence:
Be willing to grow and keep learning.
Invest personal time in understanding software.
Learn how business processes tie into technology.
Never be afraid to ask questions.
He also stresses that success isn’t about finding one “right” answer, but about helping customers choose effective, reliable solutions. Testing changes, making mistakes, and learning from them are all natural parts of the process.
Scott’s journey is a reminder that combining technical skills with a people-first approach can create lasting impact—not only for businesses but also for the individuals who use the tools every day.
